Renee Zellweger's team for life by the Hollywood costume drama

Life takes a few pages from the diary of Renee Zellweger.The female-skewing cable network has increased Cinnamon Girl, a drama loosely based on the 1960 voyage of a small town Texas to Hollywood Zellweger.Created by Zellweger and Anthony Tambaki (Warrior) will Cinnamon Girl is about four girls as they come of age during the Cultural Revolution in the 1960s and early 1970s in Los Angeles. The drama explores Cassie, Lola, Penny and Lou lives as they reach a crossroads of political rebellion, artistic, social and sexual today."Renée's passion, clarity of character and deep feelings for this project we were immediately transported to the late 60's / early 70's, creating a resonance with the energy we want to relive," Lifetime president and GM Nancy Dubuc said in a news release announcing Wednesday. "Cinnamon Girl is a game changer for our network, which is exactly the type of show we want to provide."Zellweger and Gavin O'Connor (Warrior) will executive produce, with actress Bridget Jones co-wrote the story together Tambaki to write the script.
